Knowledge and experience
Our people are perhaps our greatest resource and their knowledge and experience is available for event organisers to benefit from. This includes: people to audit vehicle standards before and during competition, and course design people to assist with stage setting and site selection.
Insurance
4x4 Challenges NZ is recognised by the New Zealand Four Wheel Drive Association Inc (NZFWDA) as the sanctioning body for winch challenge events run under the NZFWDA insurances. Choosing to use 4x4 Challenges NZ as the host club for your winch challenge provides your event with the valuable NZFWDA insurances.
Event documentation
Over the years we have built up an assortment of documents relating to running a winch challenge such as budgets, risk management plans, logistics spreadsheets etc. that can all help to make your job easier.
Marshals
We keep a list of volunteer marshals as part of our efforts to create an experienced crew who understand the winch challenge rules.
A marshal training DVD is in progress, to assist with training.
4x4 Challenges Winch Challenge Rules
The rules committee have put in a lot of effort to develop a set of event rules that are simple, fair and promote the sport of winch challenge. These rules are available to be used by any winch challenge event. Read more
A computer based scoring system is available to help simplify the scoring process.
Radios and stop-watches
We can provide a selection of hand-held UHF radios and stop-watches for event communication and timing.
