I need a gauge of interest for a comp in Whangarei at the beginning of November. We have land organised (same as last year) and it is planned as very low key event. Scruitneer Friday Night, race Sat and Sun. Very low entry fee and you will get what you pay for. ie turn up have fun and help out.
I'm also thinking about running a 'club' class for guys who want to have a go but don't have rollcages, harness or wire rope. This will be on easier tracks etc etc.
At present there will be no prizes but we will have some fun.
We are looking at sorting out camping onsite, but it will be a look after yourself situation, with only a couple of toilets supplied.
Anyone who is keen then drop me an email or call me.

Thanks Darin for setting the 2007 Whangarei challenge up. I only attended on the Saturday and was rapidly roped into being a marshal, but that was fine as the stages went through fairly quickly. The others in the 4x4 Challenges NZ crew who attended to help out included George Palmer, John Walker, Jeremy Walker and Jack Talbot. Owen Fillery (Fluffy) was another who worked a stopwatch.
A big thank-you too to the local four wheelers who assisted as marshals.

congratulations to Darin,Grant,Owen,Dave and the rest of the team for the great effort they put in to make this compertition possible.Big congratulations to those who made the effort and competed, especially the new comers,we hope to see you again.Whilst I know that a number of trucks where damaged after the Taupo 1000 it would have been nice to have some more of the regular competitors.I know it's along way to travel for a 2 day comp but if we are to grow this sport we need your support.
