Hi guys, I am thinking that the 29 to 31 August is the time to hold the event. That is 7 weeks after Vegas and 7 weeks before Labour weekend. Does anyone have a problem with that?
I plan on having a Clubmans Class and these tracks will be designed like the last 2 years so damage should be to an absolute minimum unless you drive like a complete mupet. Clubmans will require a 4 point rollbar, and there will be some other restrictions but I'll confirm these later.

We are planning a new (for NZ) type of stage. It will have most trucks on the course at the same time and will entail the use of a GPS and your will need a digital camera. It should provide a chance to completely level the playing feild so that big winchs and big HP will provide absolutely no advantage. Those who take smart options will get the best time/score. t present we think there will be 100 points for time and 100 points for completion of obstacles etc. One thing for certain you will need to get out of your truck and also think a lot more than usual! Also we think the DNF will be around 4 hours and will cover 20+ km and some of it will be in sand. The finer details are still to be confirmed but this year there will be a mix of mud, sand, pine trees, grassland, gum trees and don't forget the gorse!!!!!! |

Can confirm dates are 6th and 7th September. Scrutineering will be Friday night with a BIG day on Saturday and finishing mid Sunday afternoon. We are setting tracks this weekend and I'll have details on entry costs etc out hopefully by the end of the week. Club class and open class. Depending on numbers we may limit entries so get in first and you won't miss out. |
