Currently it is ambiguois as to whether you have to carry a spare tyre. Yes it must be the same size but it doesn't if you must carry it while competing.
To save any hassles I suggest we add a clause to say you must carry the spare wile competing.

Sounds fair to me but must be same size and style. If you have to carry a spare you must also carry a jack that is capable of lifting the vehicle to change a tyre . Scott

Hahahah, noooo, I can't fit a full sized spare tyre in the back of the zook, there's hardly enough room for the fuel tank and the required recovery equipment Smile

I don't even see why it should be a requirement for challenge class, think of those little yellow space savers all thecars have these days Smile Smile

I reckon you should chamge it to:

" All vehicle should carry a suitable spare tyre"

That way, you gotta have a spare with you, but if you can only squeeze in a little 650 16 SAT on 5" wide LJ50 rim, then that should be sweet Smile Smile

I Agree Pete.if i was to say run 36"s and only had a 35" spare whats the problem? if we had to use it the only one its hurting is me ,its not as if its a safety issue .It cant be a wof issue either as look at all the space savers around.I think that as long as a sprare is presented at the start you should be able to unload it before starting a stage ,if you were unlucky enough to get a flat chances are you wouldnt have time to change it anyway so you either finish on the flat tyre or drag the truck off the track DNF it and send the Co driver out for the spare (while you sit in a nice warm truck with the heater on )
