National Winch Challenge, Taupo

North vs. South in the first event bringing together competitors from 4x4 Challenges and Mainland Winch Challenges events. Which island will come out on top as national champions?

Challenge class Friday, club Saturday and finish Sunday lunch time.

Challenge Class

• Three stages Friday afternoon bring lights.
• Two stages in close to town (people watching)
• Eight stages 10 mins from town.
• one night stage at location in town
• Three to four stages Sunday
• Prize giving Sunday afternoon

Club Class

• Two stages in close to town (fans watching)
• 6 stages 10 mins from town.
• Two Night stages at location in town
• Three to four stages Sunday
• Prize giving sundae afternoon.

There is accommodation for 130 people at the same location as the sat morning stages and has lots of parking and lock up for the winch trucks there is a bar and meals on site. Hot pools 1 min up road and town is 3 mins down road.There is a camping ground next door and is a top 10.

There are three sites being used for the comp. I will be trying to give you as much, In the seat time as possible, But at the end of the day its up to you to complete as many stages as you can. There wont be much mud but you will still need your winch for all stages.

If you live and are in the south island winch comp, you are welcome to come up and have a go (free entry). I don't care if you the top dog or not, please come and play with us, it will be fun.
