The following initial statement has been released by the organisers:

4x4 Winch Challenge event, October 2008.

This will be a major endurance event which will test drivers, navigators, trucks and equipment, and also the pit crew.

You can look forward to 4 days of 4x4 mayhem. A mixture of extreme winch stages which will only be driven with the use of the recovery equipment stored on the truck, and off highway touring stages set between Northland and the Central North Island making the event an epic end of year 4x4 challenge!
